On Saturday, June 2nd, the Beta Chapter of The Iceland State Organization celebrated its 35th anniversary.  This occasion was also used to honor a woman educator for outstanding contribution to educational and/or cultural development. The Beta Chapter has done so every fifth year since 1977. This year Rosa Gudrun Eggertsdottir received the honor. She is a specialist at the Educational Research and Development Centre at the University of Akureyri. Eggertsdottir has contributed extensively in her field.

Our conference this year in Iceland is 6th - 8th of May in Reykjanesbær, a town near the Keflavik International Airport. Theta Chapter is hosting the Convention and we know they will do a fantastic job.
