Pamela Irons látin
Pamela Irons, well known throughout the Society, passed away July 2nd, having had a stroke a few years ago following the death of her much beloved husband. Pamela finished her career in education as Principal of Chelsea College of Physical Education in London.
Pam was a founder of the Great Britain State Organization. She served as the 3rd State President 1981-83. At the same time she was also Alpha Chapter President. She started Gamma Chapter in 1983 - having just met Dorothy Haley who was her successor as Area Representative.
During her biennium she organised the first European Conference at The Cambridge Hotel, attended by over 50 members from Europe, Canada and United States. She will be remembered as a very special lady. It is reported that after every Gamma meeting, she always wrote a special 'thank you' card to the chapter president saying how much she appreciated the programme and enjoyed the meeting. A most gracious lady throughout her life and staunch DKG member, Pamela Irons will be missed dearly.
